The Solar Cabin on Jumby Bay Island,
ultraluxury private island living.

Antigua and Barbuda has taken the lead in the Caribbean region regarding the use of clean energy supply with a commitment of achieving a 100% renewable energy share by 2030 in both the power and transport sectors. This effort has motivated homeowners to incorporate clean energy in the constructions, renovations and expansions of their homes for a more sustainable future.

Jumby Bay, ultraluxury private island, was one of the first off-shore islands to strengthen the clean energy supply effort by the installation of solar panels throughout the island for better sustainability and now boasts the first solar cabin of its kind in the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean State (OECS) islands.

It is truly a privilege to have seen this development firsthand with the conceptualization, mastered by Colin Jenkins, of The Solar Cabin which now ranks as one of the highest aspirations for energy performance in the built environment.
